-MerlyN-
Hi folks, I have been reading some tutorials on Linear Workflow in Max and am a bit confused. Every tutorial and website says to set the display gamma in Max' Gamma and LUT Preferences to 2,2. So far so good. But shouldnt one adjust the display gamma setting so, that the inner and outer square are equally bright? If I set my gamma to 2,2 the inner rectangle is a lot brighter than the outer one. If I adjust it to equal brightness I end up somewhere in the 1,5 region. So I wonder to what I have to adjust the setting to to achive good results? Regards, Merl
Stephen Thomas
No, you just ignore the squares. It's more important that you are setting it for the correct colour space rather than for your individual monitor. As far as I know anyway.
