djwang Posted February 23, 2011 Share Posted February 23, 2011 Hi guys thanks for taking the time out to read this thread, ive been doing a few renders and always seem to have the a problem that i have artifacts when i use mirror like reflective materials, say for instance a mirror that when you look at it , its got lots of what looks like FG artifacts on say a plaster ceiling . ill post some screen shots to point out what i mean if this will make more sense. regards DJ[ATTACH=CONFIG]41460[/ATTACH] Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

djwang Posted February 26, 2011 Author Share Posted February 26, 2011 Hi just thanks for your reply. when you say FG reflection settings this is a material setting as i could nt find such a preset in the render set up of mental ray. also do i have to change this setting for all materials or is it just the reflective material ? as i use a pro materials for my mirror and i have only have a reflection max trace depth in the performance tuning section. hope these questions make sense Kind regards DJ Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
