RevitGary
I am having a problem with my sky portals in max 2011. They work , the problem is they dont blow out the light in the window. I am going for the photographic look and I want the exterior to be very light and washed out. It looks as if I have adjusted the sky portal to make the outside read normal, not washed out. I cant get the photographic blown out look. Is there any new tricks to skyportals with max 2011?
maciejwypych
It looks to me more like an exposure control issue. Adjust your ISO/Exposure/F settings to achieve your blown out look.
TSuess
I render a seperate glare pass. I place a self illuminating plane outside to cover the entire extent of my window. Apply Matte/Shadow shader to everything else. Render and composite in PShop. This method seems to give me the most control.
