erickdt
Hello All, I have been dealing with this issue for a long time. My VRay dirt pass, which I use for an AO effect in post, seems to always include the proximity of VRay plane lights (which I use a lot of) to geometry. This results in a dark area where I have placed a VRay light close to an object. This is particularly annoying insofar as the result is the exact opposite of what I had intended to achieve by placing the plane light there in the first place (the intended highlight is darkened). Up to this point I get around this by Photoshopping these undesired dark spots out of my dirt pass. My question is: Is there a cleaner/easier way to do this? Am I missing a setting or something? Chewbacca
Not sure if you are using a VRAYdirt map in the diffuse slot for your material on that objects that are leaving the dark spots, but if you are, make sure you have the "work with transparency" checked in the material parameters.
