arobbert Posted July 27, 2004 Share Posted July 27, 2004 I’m in the process of specifying a new workstation. Has any one used the new Xeon 800 Mhz FSB bus/ PCI express with VIZ 4? Are you freelancing? Your profile says you are an 'artist'?I currently work for an architecture firm in Troy, North of Detroit, but I'm starting to do a little freelance work on the side... Sadly I have no facts on xeons. I'm trying to put together a dual opteron system for Viz 2005. I know we have Viz4 on a dual xeon at Lawrence Tech, but i'm not sure if it was PCI express or not. I've been freelancing for about three years now and do mostly product and trade show visualization. I have several dual Xeons that all work well with VIZ 4 but these new ones have a completely new bus architecture and use PCI express for the graphics.
