He's a programmer at lionhead studios working on some pioneering realtime 3D rendering technology for games. I know I'm biased but I think the rendering looks lovely. I didn't understand a lot of what the pdf explains first read through... but I will take another look today. I like the incorporation of a sculpting software right into the work-flow... its something I have been wanting to do with my arch-vis for a few years now.
