Hello,

Fryrender try for a few days and I have little problems with the grouping of lights.

Let me explain, my scene is done with 3ds Max 2010 x64

is a building with 6 floors, offices, corridors, lockers with their own lighting

in each office there is a source of light.

corridors have 6 blocks light from floor

bins have 6 neon block of 20 lockers.

in total over 6 floors so I have many light sources and management

layers with the sign "subject properties" becomes an ordeal!

I have assembled my sources in 3ds max but it changes nothing.

I can not understand or I make a mistake.

thank you very much "to enlighten" my lantern as they say in France

PS: sorry for my approximate English, I use google translation!

Lawrence.

hello,

I come back and still have the same problem.

I assigned the modifier "Fryrender object" to my editable poly then I grouped the editable poly.

I assembled the editable poly.

I assigned the modifier "Fryrender object" groups.

1 group with Fader # 1

1 group with Fader # 2

my problem is that in Fryrender tab "OBJ" poly are not grouped

I have to redo the same operation, so what is the interest to do so in 3ds max?

there is something that I do not understand, but what?

try this:

- make groups of your editable poly object that are light

- make several groups

- assign Fryrender Object modifier to each group (1 to each group) with different fader#

- in Fryrender start rendering

- go to tab LightMixer

- play around with the intensity sliders and color boxes of the used fader#.

- You can also do this after rendering, or after loading a .dsi file.

Yes

my problem was that the tab OBJ Fryrender all my lights appeared as a single object in 3dsmax while they were well grouped and assigned to a fader with the modifier "Fryrender object".

I corrected the problem by taking all my editable poly (lights) one by one and found errors in my assignment groups of lights.

I explained that it was just a small test to learn to use and test the capabilities of Fryrender and maybe adopt it (if I metrized) to make the 3D architectural exterior and interior.

I think the main advantage of Fryrender is the exploitation of multi GPU.

was a result of very good quality in a short time and with just two NVIDIA SLI graphics catre GTX470 + GTX480 coupled to a processor i7 950 and 12GB of DDR3.

must now be in good working cooperative network to operate more machines and this will be perfect.
