Chris-Anim
Hey Animators! A bunch of new video contests have been launched at Motion Contest (http://www.motioncontest.com) and we are needing animators and film makers who are up for the challenge. The competition is low, so you have a good chance of winning these cash prizes! New Video Contests: Ozone Promotion Video --- $150 Cool Animation For Our Site (Split5.com) --- $700 Motion Contest - Flash Cartoon Contest (Easy 5 min Task) --- $25 Sexy Clothing Boutique for the Curvy Real Woman --- $300 BIDSLAPP --- $500 Band Beads & Band Charmz --- $60 Reality TV Show Promo Video for World Record Carribian Jet Ski Trip --- $109 Our goal is to give animators credibility by providing them with real world contests, and wide industry exposure. We are going further than just cash prizes however, we are actively seeking deals with big film studios like Miramax, Dream Works, Warner Bros and Touchstone Pictures to help our winning contestants land their dream jobs at established animation studios, or gain fame as world renowned animators. We look forward to seeing you there! The Motion Contest Team
Devin Johnston
Chris-Anim I appreciate you posting this but after looking at you site I'm left thinking that your contest is nothing but a cheep way for companies to get promotional materials without paying their true market value. Typically a contests goal isn't to produce work for a company to make profit, it's a chance for people to compete against each other to see who's the best and the artist is the one who sees the financial gain from this. Your site seems to be the exact opposite in that the artist sees very little financial gain from their hard work and imagination and the company is the one who profits. I'd also like to know exactly how participating in your contests will lead to credibility and industry exposure. Please provide testimonials from artists who have received increased credibility and exposure in the industry so we can understand how participating in a contest that literally pays penny's on the dollar is good for our careers. Crazy Homeless Guy
I agree with Maxer. This looks like nothing but a way for companies to exploit artists hard work.
hkbasravi
It's worthwhile for students, and those looking for a reason to build portfolio work, but is certainly not worth a professional's time.
