phatwood123
This model was imported from Revit and the columns aren't as round as I would like them. Is there a parameter that I could change on import (or export from Revit) that would create more faces on the column to make them smooth. Also, same thing on the arched garage door trim. Thanks. BrianKitts
what import method are you using? You don't need to add more faces, just make sure the vertices are welded. FBX does a good job at bringing in smooth geometry but it can be slow. DWG can be faster but it's better to leave welding turned off and do it manually only where you need it. WAcky
my columns out of revit are terrible. Detach them (if they arent already) and add a smooth modifier. Check autosmooth and you may have to play with the threshold number to get it to work properly. This is the fastest way I know when I have 100's of columns to deal with...
