My dad's friend used to run the Lufthansa branch in Lebanon, he lived a luxerious life, he bought his kids houses and spent tons of money. Once one of his brat kids stole 40 grands from his father's house and fled to buy drugs with them (that's what you get for spoiling your kids), I always wondered how he could afford this lifestyle even if he was a manager, especially in Lebanon. Maybe Lufthansa has more secrets than we know.

I was joking about Lufthansa safety because you show 1 plane zooming past the other, separated by 3 meters! :)

I have update this Script and included "dynamic Filtering". mental ray is able to perform texture filtering dynamically in secondary effects like reflections and refractions. This is based on additional ray properties like solid angle which is propagated along the ray traced path. This feature is enabled in the scene options, and applies to all textures which have texture filtering enabled.

What does this dynamic texture filtering script do differently than using the current mental ray map manager option in the translator options tab? Is it more for reflections and refractions?

This for the doceumentation, my english is very poor.

 

Control ray differentials for texture filtering in secondary effects.

If turned on then ray differentials are automatically computed and propagated across ray tracing effects like reflections and refractions to determine the optimal filter size for filtered texture look-ups. If not enabled then differentials are not computed and texture filtering falls back to default filtering on primary visible objects only.

The default is off.
