Hello everyone. First of all so sorry about my bad english. i have real big problem with hair and fur modifier. So here is the problem: i draw a 1m x 1m plane area and i applied the hair modifier then loaded the grass preset and only dicreased the grass count. Then i copied instance of the modifier and paste it as an instance on a 10m x 10m plane area. nothisng chanced then. After that when i rendered the scene the small are has small grasses and the bigger area has huge grasses. icant figure out that why? is there anyone can help me about this. so many thanks now.

i just tried, but it may or may not help what you need. i created a 12ftx12ft plane with 4x4 segments. converted to poly then went edit poly mode and cloned 1 of the polys to element. i moved it quite a distance away from the original. i applied the hair on this and they appeared to all be the same size.

i don't see any other way.

also building on that auto scale, even if you try to apply the hair to 1 small poly of a huge object, the hair would still come out huge. that happened to me the other day, i applied hair to 20 polygons in an object that was huge and my hair was 30ft high even though it was a small area where i wanted it.

EDIT - oh, so i guess if you attached the smaller plane to the larger plane you'd be good to go.

yeap. it is good trick to make it easy. but it seams very hard. think that i have a lot of different area with different scales? what am i going to do? As your comment i created a little plane like 10 m X 10 m then i applied the modifier. Then attached all of the planes to it then it will work. Thank you so much for helping
