and44
Studio/Institution: Giant Orange VisGenre: Residential ExteriorSoftware: 3Dsmax-VrayDescription: Hey all. (First time poster, long time reader) Just wanted some Q&A on this new scene im working on. - I dont normally have to much bother with "glass" but for some reason, (and the way im working on this one) is giving me troubles.. it just does not look right at all. (too much reflection, to much spec), although adjusted all thse and re-renderd countless times. here is the latest thus far.. Guess im going round in circles, so any advice on this would be great. Using full HDR lighting setup with Vray Sun for harder shadows. - I've added the HDR into the Vray reflect slot too. remove this? - but I suspect its my glass shader thats possibly at fault.. The scene is wip, so feel free to jump in with any other comments Thanks in advance. Take care Andy
Dave Oliver
well the windows do look like reflective metal. but my bigger issue was with the overall gamma and color of the image. you are getting a lot of green reflection on the underside of your building. if you go into the grass material, there is a way an override material for the reflection color. meaning you can have the green grass reflect a white color onto the underside of the building. then you can also reduce the lightness or saturation of your grass. i took a shot at editing the image. i made my adjustments while trying to keep the very 'bright' feeling i think you were going after.
