Turn off lights in viewport?

Need to still have the lights to do their thing in the render, but need to be able to still see what I'm doing whilst modeling in the viewport... You know when everything is either bright white or black when the lights are active. (Still the same when you turn them off, or hide of course)

I've a lot of rooms to model in separate max files, with a template lighting setup... I could merge in the geometry into the template when modeling complete... But it would be quicker and easier to just have a button have the shaded default viewport without light bleaching the scene?

Anyone?

Ctrl+L is the shortcut for toggling the lights on off in the viewport

Yes, but can you avoid using Crtl+L constantly? Every time I minimize my viewports layout the shaded ones get blown up over agian and Crtl+L only works on maximized viewports.

Cheers.
