Graham Nixon
Lo all, I just got VRay advanced and was a bit dissapointed by the manual, £515 and all you get is a description of what the buttons do. Does anyone know of some decent tutorials (with audio, and in english preferably). I've seen some avi's on the net but it all goes at 500 miles an hour without any explanation of what's going on. Maybe someone should write a manual, £30-50 per copy sold would soon add up. Cheers Graham

Fran
Hi Graham, Also, http://www.VRay.info is a great source for indepth explanations on most aspects of VRay.
Tim Nelson
I would definitely pay money to have a printed, thourough, and understandable manual for vray. The forums are great, but its still nice to have something in front of you to reference when you need it.
tdarcy
Im with you on this one Graham, I've just spent all weekend trying to get my head round V-ray demo with a view to buying it. Still not a lot of success. A manual of v-ray in use with examples would be very helpful rather than just an explaination of what buttons do. John Dollus
I know a lot of people that use their work commute time for 'continuing education' time. It's a great use of normally wasted time on the ferry, bus or train. Unfortunately, printed manuals are usually the best way to learn this way. You don't have to worry about theft, salt water air or batteries giving out. I would expect the reason for a lack of complete documentation would have something to do with the development process of Vray. New builds were coming out at a rapid pace early on which made documentation difficult. Now that the build cycle has somewhat stabilized, I would hope that the developer would acknowledge the importance of good documentation. At the very least, a PDF file with an index that can be printed would be a welcome addition.
