Aaron2004
Looks excellent...especially the 2nd image. How many polys are in one rose 'plant'?
Konstantin Kim
Thank you! Roses have about 20 000 of polygons per model
Aaron2004
That sounds like it would be back breaking to use a lot of those in a scene...do you find the workflow with growfx suitable? I've been tempted to buy it, but I'm afraid it would be too much of a resource hog.
Konstantin Kim
I like GrowFX - it's powerful and flexible software, I'm one of the first users of this plugin I made over 800 3d models of different plants in GrowFX. I'm making trees, bushes and flowers in GrowFX, try trial version - it's free. I made all plants in GrowFx for this jungle project: Direct links to big images - Image 1 and Image 2 My workflow: 1. making 3d models in growfx 2. importing it to mesh 3. using ForestPack (www.itoosoft.com) to scatter trees and grass in my scene 4. Crazy Homeless Guy
Nice models, .....but the images need better light grading / levels / curve adjustments. Also, the plants are quite clean and perfect. Roughing them up a bit, adding dirt, dark spots, variations and the like will go a long way in adding realism. Just do it carefully.
