help! need a solution if possible

A client of mine asked me if I could make an interactive floor plan, or even a 3d plan, of a certain house, where his customers could choose their own furniture and textures and rearrange them on the floor plan to their own desires.

 

is there a program that does something like this?

Probably, but don't know. You could do it in Flash or Director.

i remember a friend said that some big lighting company have their own program similar to this. Sorry i never checked/saw them , but it sound believable. Anyone?

If all else fails i'll do it in flash, but someone told me there might be a program out there that does something like this, so I'm hoping I'll get lucky and find it, if it excists

Hi all,

 

Here in Belgium a company released a software application called '3d architect', which is basicly a drag and drop interior generator, complete with a database of all kinds of furniture, exactly the way your client wants it. Price: about 30-40€. There is only one minor issue: your client won't need you anymore. Unfortunately I don't know if the software is available in english, nor what the name of the developper is.

I'll have a look around in the shops tomorrow...
