monkeyman905 Posted April 27, 2011 Share Posted April 27, 2011 Hi guys, Just upgraded from max 9 to max 2011 a few weeks ago and ive come to use spline for the first time in 2011 (not that i used it much before). I have created a spline line and im now add verts along the spline to later add a bend modifier and get a nice curve. On adding the verts along the x- axis in a straight line they are going along the z axis and y axis in every over direction. What am i missing?? Im selecting Vertex then the insert option. Peter M. Gruhn Posted April 27, 2011 Share Posted April 27, 2011 One thing I'm missing - I don't understand what's happening. How are you adding verts? I assume with the Refine tool, but I've never seen that behave weird. So maybe you're missing the Refine button. One thing you may be missing. Rather than vertex selection, use segment. Claudio Branch Posted April 27, 2011 Share Posted April 27, 2011 You might be better off just adding a Normalize Spline modifer. That way you can control the vertice count more easily and easily change it with a Bend modifer in your stack as well. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
