3dAdvent
Hi Chetan. Design firms are not so flexible in changing software. Therefore 2d design is still used for production of site documentation, and separate rendering software (3d max, Maya etc) just for marketing reasons. The power of BIM is now starting to enter the market. Are you considering working in Greece?
chetan.p.deshmukh
HI Nick, thanks for replying, Iam just a student of business management (not an engineer), i needed information for my college's research work. I dont have any plan as of working in Greece. but definitely would like to visit the historically great Greece once as a tourist! Do you know any softwares like Solidworks, ProE or catia, unigraphics ? If yes, can you give me your opinion about which among these is the most commonly used by the engineers and architects ? any information would be really useful. Geroggee
Dear Chetan, I just saw the post... I am George, from Greece as well, i am a mechanical engineer mainly activated in the food and beverage industry. My company is using solidworks for modelling and PV360 (the integrated renderer of Solidworks) for rendering. Most of the companies that design mechanical equipment are using Solidworks and Invertor in equal portions i believe. Pro Engineer is no intuitive at all and hard to use and has lost a great deal of customers. Catia is one level above the forementioned and i believe is not used a lot in Greece due to lack of automobile and aircraft industries. Hope this helped. Cheers
