Eric
I have multiple Max cameras in a scene that are setup for animation. The cameras were supposed to be created using VRay Physical Cameras, but were accidentally created with Max's cameras. It there an easy way to convert the cameras? danb4026
Yes....there is a script that does just that. http://www.scriptspot.com/3ds-max/scripts/leles-vray-tools The script is included in the pack. It also converts a view to a physical camera.
Eric
Thanks! I downloaded, installed the script, added it to my UI, selected a Max camera, right-clicked on the Lele menu and selected "Physcam_Converter", but it doesn't seem to do anything. I'm on Max Design 2011 x64 with VRay 2.0...
Eric
I received an email alert indicating a response from "stef.thomas", but don't see it here. He mentioned creating a camera automatically by activating the Max camera, switching to perspective, then creating a VRay camera from that perspective. That would work great if the Max cameras weren't already animated...
Stephen Thomas
Yeah, sorry! I didn't realise they were animated so didn't think that would work and deleted the post Might be possible to copy and paste the keyframes from one to the other though, using the curve editor. Eric
Ahh, no prob - thanks for the suggestion! Good call about the curve / track editor. I'll look into that. Thanks!
danb4026
I didn't realize the camera was animated as well. Sorry.
