Ardak
Hi, what would be the best way to render atmospheric perspective to a scene? I have tried out VRay Environment Fog, but it produces noise relatively easy. I have heard of Z-Pass, but can it be used for animation? What other methods are out there? BrianKitts
ZDepth channel is probably your best option, mostly because you can control your effects in post production, you aren't locked into it being rendered into your image. and yes you can do it with animation..... afterEffects is key. Ardak
Thanks for the info. I tried to render the ZDepth channel, but I ran into a problem. I chose it from the Render Elements panel, but when I render an image, it renders fine but it does not render the ZDepth grayscale image.
Ardak
No problem, I got the ZDepth pass working.
