gstovell
Studio/Institution: freelanceGenre: Residential InteriorSoftware: Cinema 4D - R12Description: Hello everyone. First post here. A few years ago I concentrated on character animation and am just getting my feet wet in the Arch Viz area. I'd like to do some freelancing on the side at some point but would like to get some skills and really learn what makes a good interior image first. So - I'll hang out here often for the next few months hoping to get better at this and eventually end up with a decent portfolio. Here's my first stab at a bedroom... and my first stab at using a GI solution. I'm using Maxon's Cinema4D's advanced rendered. Release 12. All feedback and critique is very much needed and welcome! Fire away. I'm here to learn.
TJunkers
Your modeling skills are definitely noticeable here; the curtains looks great, the bed and chair look great, but the scene is very empty. Id start by adding covers on the bed using the cloth modifier and you could always tighten up the shot a little so your not seeing so much of the floor in front of the bed. The more floor you show the more you should have in the scene. Also watch the door frame. Im not sure if the geometry is messed up on the right side or if it rendered wrong.
