markf
Does anyone have any suggestions for recreating all of the user settings and etc when upgrading to new versions of Max? Is it ok/safe to copy the 3dsmax.ini and Current Defaults.ini from a previous version into the directories of the new version of Max. And perhaps a file with keyboard shortcuts? Thanks for any help or advice on this.
A.Mitov
I am not sure about 3dsmax.ini and Defaults.ini but you should be able to import the shortcuts, quads, etc. without problems.

notamondayfan
In 3Ds Max, click Customize (top bar), then click Save Custom UI Scheme... This will save all UI, quads, shortcuts etc, and you can load them into a new 3Ds Max. Dean
