markf
I have held off upgrading to Vray 2.0 primarily due to lack of work. I am getting some minimal work trickling in now and I'm feeling marginally better about spending on upgrades. I am just now upgrading from Max Design 2011 to 2012 ( I am a subscription customer) and I'm thinking about whether I should upgrade to Vray 2.0 when it becomes available for the Max 2012. One of the most intriguing things is the RT features. I am not sure if I would need to buy a new graphics card to make use of the gpu RT. I'm currently using Quad Core 6600, Nvidia Gforce 8800 GTX, 8G RAM. My questions - Has Vray 2.0 improved/sped up your workflow. Would I need to get a new graphics card to use all of the RT features effectively? Thanks for any advice regarding this.
