viz.k
Hi I'm trying to put a sticker-like texture onto to model but I get the bump-map border visible. Here are the screens that I think explains all - what do I do to avoid it? I tried replacing white on bump map with 127grey - the border is much less visible but it's still there. TJunkers
Did you try and put the mask in the opacity slot of the VRay Material and then just leave the diffuse as the image with white background?
erickdt
I'm not sure what's causing your problem, probably something with the bitmap blurring parameter. Either way though I'd probably just make a custom map that exactly fist the size of the cabinet and that places your image of piglet exactly where you want him and then do the same for the bump map. Also, I'm not quite sure why you're using a bump map to simulate a sticker. If anything I'd be increasing the reflectivity/glossiness of the sticker area and leaving it at that. Just my 2c though... viz.k
the rest of the model except for the sticker becomes opaque then:)
viz.k
"sticker" may not be a good word, I meant a slightly carved in drawing on surface, bump map is needed. The idea with map covering whole model is good but I'd also love to know how to deal with that problem if not using whole object's map - heard of composite material but it doesn't work (or I do not know how to setup it) Thanks guys for advices, if anyone has something else - please share:)
