Justin Hunt
The over saturated sky is conflicting with the lack of mid-tone contrast in the buildings. Darkening the glass and texture detail to the walls will help keep the eye on the buildings. There needs some breathing space to the sides, it feels a bit too tight. jhv
Stan Zaslavsky
thanks Justin - really helpful feedback. unfortunately the developer wanted a direct focus on the project - so couldn't really add too much space on the sides. will post changes soon
Stan Zaslavsky
here is an update - i desaturated the sky and changed how people look also added some reflections to the shops anything else that may improve the image further? TSuess
What are the exterior finishes? Looks look painted gyp. board. Singles on the sloped roofs?
Stan Zaslavsky
it's a James Hardie product - Scyon - Either Axon or Stria depending if it is horizontal or vertical. and the sloped roofs i think are just Colorbond corrugated iron
Tron
Try compositing a dirt pass (AO in mental ray). It will add to the realism as you currently have very unrealistically clean surfaces.
Stan Zaslavsky
Hi Antoine, Thanks for your feedback. I'm using a dirt pass in Vray - maybe what you are saying its not quite enough? I'll look into it and update. Any other particular things you noticed? cheers,
Justin Hunt
had a little play Darkend the windows, Lightened and colour adjusted the sky, a few level adjustments, toned the greens down and colour adjusted the blue car. hope you dont mind jhv
Stan Zaslavsky
thanks Justin - out of the changes - i like what you did to the blue car the most - i think previously it stood out like a sore thumb. unfortunately the client wanted it blue this one is complete now but i'll apply the learning to the next project . cheers
