Jure
Working on a visualization of 6 appartments with every room fully detailed. Here's a progress so far. In the end all rooms will be presented in QTVR. Haven't used radiosity so far. Still too time consuming. Done in LW[8]. C&C very welcome! STRAT
Is that kitchen table 90cm height? 75 should be enough. Weird camera angles. yup, kitchen table looks way too high. mark - those camera angles are obviously the wide angle qtvr views. nice imagery. what are your pc specs? as radiosity is well within the realms of most peoples deadlines these days. to achieve better render times for radiosity why not just optomise ur scene? like maybe turn down the AA a click or 2, lower the quality of those shiney blurry reflected floors, lessed the shadow map size, fake the reflectivity in the chrome objects etc etc. im sure this should free up enough render time to allow you to use radiosity and gi other than that the renders look nice and smooth. all your glass objects (windows, internal glass screen etc) have AA issues that need to be resiolved, as does the hanging light feature in the kitchen. i'd also add a few more infill omnis in there to help with the fakiosity. more bounced light shadows are needed. that hose holding up the shower head looks way too stiff too. skogskalle
nice work... The couch in the second image looks huuuge. maybe its the camera angle, I dont know, but it looks too big. (and it has self illuminated pillows =) the small table in the same image needs to cast a shadow on the floor... now it seems to be levitating. Jure
Thanks for your comments guys! Sorry about wideangle shots... it's just that I use it for test renders so I can see as much as possible in one render. About optimizing scene: I have it optimized allready as much as I know how. No blurry reflections here, it's the specularity that looks like it. The AA setting is still too low as you have noticed. I only lit the scene with Area lights with shadows turned on and a few fill lights (bounces) with no shadows. But the render times are fine so far (~15 mins for living room/kitchen, ~3 mins bathroom). As soon as I start usnig radiosity they go through the roof... I wish there was vray for LW.... jysngltndz
i agree bout the camera angels.. try to adjust it so not to stretch the image.. dining table is too high..
donix
i think high tables in kitchen is just fine but you need to provide stools for that one.
Selvander
Jure...a question about QTVR. How did the QTVR-file get so small? I did a test render with 3d studio Max in panorama QTVR, similar to your bathroom, but the QTVR-file became like 4 MB. Do you have any ideas why? You either used very low compression settings in QTVR or rendered in large resolution or both. I have resolution of 512x512px per face and I use JPEG compression somewhere in the middle to high setting. Other than that I don't know what could be wrong.
