JonnyCache
Hi, I am trying to get more into arch and design type of 3D after doing so much of everything else. My question is say I want to create my own 3D render of say the new american home of 2012 or any building do you need to get past copyright issues, or not? None of the things I would create would be for sale, just for the purpose of education and promoting my skill-set. Thanks in advance.
Devin Johnston
As long as your not making a profit off of it and your not going to use it as an example of a project you designed then there's noting wrong with using a real project to hone your skills. notamondayfan
I would say you dont need any permissions to do a visualisation of any building, so long as it's in the public domain. It's like making a painting of a city, you dont need permission from all the architects and building owners, so why would a different medium matter? The only legal implication I could see is if you were copying the house designs, turning them into models / drawings for other architects to copy for their own real buildings.
