yohozindagi1 Posted June 7, 2011 Share Posted June 7, 2011 I am trying to make a vray glass material for a aluminum glass partition and there is also requirement of some kind of sticker to be pasted on to the glass... i don't know how to make it. Also i tried vray blend material... it works but i am getting all sort of problems in my rendering may be its because it isn't supposed to be used for this purpose or i don't how use it .... plz help me out... erickdt Posted June 7, 2011 Share Posted June 7, 2011 There are a couple of different ways you can do this. You can either make a custom refraction map which is almost completely white where the glass is and then black where your "sticker" will be. The other option is to use a VRay blend material where you make a custom mask map (to be used in the mix slot) that's totally white where your "sticker" is and totally black where your glass is. You then make a glass material as the base material and your "sticker" material as a coat material that uses the mask map to control its opacity.
