nickdk
Is it possible to use 1 scene for both day and night or would it be better to keep them separate? I was thinking I could use keyframes to switch the sun on and off and so on? but I'm not sure if it's the best way to go :-)
Matt McDonald
We just went through this. Originally we hoped that animating a couple of setting would work but ultimately there were so many differences between the setup of the day and night scenes that we seperated them. Sorta, we now keep a building model file and both a day and night scene files. The building xrefs in to both. That way any changes to the building get incorporated in both scenes. Justin Hunt
scene states might help in changing the light posisions and settings, but ultimatly working in two separate scenes is a safer/ more effcient jhv
danb4026
I agree with both posts above. Xref the model and create one scene for night and one for day.
Fooch
xref models in.. safer and easier.
nickdk
Great thank you for the updates! I'll read up on Xref'ing - I haven't had the chance to using that method before Thanks!
