RyanSpaulding
It looks good, but my question is why do you do something from a movie? it is unoriginal and bland, why not make up your own? I could not disagree more. Yes, black and white sketched textures is bland, but not textured and lit nice. It will be amazing if done right. It's sort of like paying homage to a great movie scene. You have your own 3d version of it. If you work from CAD sketches and all that, you're not really being original anyways.
William Alexander
How many "creative" projects have been made in the name of "star wars" I suppose they are all very creative, which some are, but you see that they are all under one common theme. Like I said, it is all subjective and I see it as unoriginal, but nonetheless very well rendered. Though type and type as we might, of our opinions, we all reside in the same place when we dream. In our heads. This might explain http://www.cgarchitect.com/vb/showthread.php?t=5027&page=5&pp=
William Alexander
Wrong link, didn't explain much, just took me to another thread. Oh wait, I have just the reply for you, if you would go back and read my diary from when I was about... uhm 14 you would see I wrote something just for this.uhm maybe Delfonz just got intrested in this un-creative pursuit to help and create a model for a challenge, rather than just being a critic! Texturing and lighting being the focus of his Idea for a challenge and just decided it was fun to continue on. Lets SEE what you wrote in your diary,? DelfoZ
in fact all of us we r doing Visualitations from another architects, not our desings.. another example of our crativity is when we modeling scenes from pictures, like barcelona Pavillon etc etc... Another example is when we learn form the teachers.. a lot of examples.. but the fact here is u dont agree with this scene and i can live with that. creativity is when u just create a simple room with one window, one column and test light ?? im doing the same but isnt a simple room. is just a little more, using more skills, just that .. And the final idea is share this file to Monthly Challenges or The Unchallenge ... thats all. Stella: Q-It looks good, but my question is why do you do something from a movie? it is unoriginal and bland, why not make up your own? A-Cuz i like the scene
donix
nice rendering dude. i think getting more or less the right proportion of such image takes good talent and skills. keep it up man.
William Alexander
DelfoZ, The screen captures explain quite a bit, never saw the movie but really think the court yard is an interesting subject for THE Challenge or certianly an unchallenge. Really like your NPR. With final toon is there anyway to vary the line weights by either contrast or Z-depth from camera? Cheers WDA

Brian Cassil
I really dig the panoramic. I don't think I've ever seen a panoramic rendered in a line style like that, but i really like it.
