ktate403
I am trying to load a facade of a house into max 2011. The problem loading is that the facade has dependencies--image files--in another folder. I've tried loading the facade within the folder of images to no avail. So, I tried several times to load the dependencies using the feature in max that allows for loading dependencies. I've tried using Add then going over to the folder of images, creating a PATH to each image file, but that doesn't work, and it should. Devin Johnston
Kathryn are you saying that the model your trying to import has maps attached to it and that once you get the model into max they are no longer attached?
ktate403
I am sorry for getting back so late. We've had thunderstorms out here in Vermont and the lines are down for DSL. I am wrting from an internet cafe. Yes, to answer your question. The model has image files stored in a separate folder. There is a way to add those image files but it isn't working for me--as I am probably not doing it correctly.
Devin Johnston
The easiest way to reassociate your maps to the model is to use the asset tracking tool under File/Manage. You will see all the maps that are used in that model there, just highlight them all, right click and select "set path". Then just navigate to the location you have all the files saved to and you'll have it. You should then save the file and reopen it to make sure the paths are reset. ktate403
Thank you so much! It works now. I was going about setting the path in a different way. Kathyn
