R.Stewart
Hello, I'm trying to use the ivy generator and it works great with the sample file i.e the vine grows on the outside of the wall. But when I try and import a wall that I've created in max and exported as a .obj file the vine only grows inside of the wall and I can just see a little bit of the vine sticking through. Plus all of the materials are gone. So I'd love to know the correct settings if anyone knows. I searched hard but didn't find anything that worked. I look forward to your reply
Stan Zaslavsky
have you "planted" the ivy on a plane outside of the wall?
R.Stewart
Hey Stan thanks for the reply buddy, I've attached 3 screen shots. As you can see on the sample wall (brick) that comes with the ivy download it has grown beautifully and see on my wall it's all embedded inside the wall. The other screen shot is of course my settings. I'm sure it's pretty easy to fix up but I've tried so many different combinations with the settings but cant get a good result. Settings inside the ivy generator have been left at default for both walls. Can you see anything wrong with the settings? Thanks mate
R.Stewart
oh and i forgot to mention that when I double click on a face on the wall the ivy gets planted on the other side. It's devastating.
R.Stewart
If anyone could just take a screenshot of their settings and post it that would be awesome
