Description:

Started this one today, am creating a city scape for the back drop to a game design concept. Future New York setting.

Will probably be a 30 second animation and 5 or so stills when done.

Thanks for the feedback aristo, I was really blown away by the ability of CE to edit a city scape down to adjusting the streets and generating buildings and textures.

I generated a future city, and spent most of my time editing the textures spat out by CE, because they were all daytime textures and pretty ugly at best. I have since developed a script that converts CE daytime textures to Vray night texture, that will require some tweaking to get perfect, but it means that I can generate a city and have it rendering in vray pretty well within an hour.

Working on the ground level details now, the game design concept has changed slightly in its brief so the future city scene may not be needed, but I will keep adding to it.

Hello mate, Any update to your scene? can we see that? I am very interested.

Also would please share your script with us? It would be my great pleasure to have to from you.

Best wishes.

Abdullah

Hi Abdullah,

Unfortunately as is quite often the case other work has taken priority. The macro for the material conversion is still needing some tweaking to get it finished, hopefully soon I will have a project that will let me finish off this scene and use it as a background. My CE trial license has expired but I will be purchasing a full license soon.

If you are interested I have a youtube clip that shows the making of for this scene in HD so you can see the procedure used. I'm slowly starting to document the projects I get given.
