nickdk
I'm not sure what to do but I can't view my Vray maps in the viewport, this is the same for 2011 and 2012 og 3DS max, is there anything I need to enable? I have tried all the settings in the viewport like enabling hardware shading and so on. I'm using Vray 2.
nickdk
I have narrowed it down a bit, A normal Vray map is shown correct in the viewport but if i change it to a VrayDirt map the object goes all black, it does render correctly though but it's very annoying not being able to see the scene details while working on the scene
acjwalker
we have just upgraded, if you for example trying to view a material with a bitmap in the diffuse slot 2012 will not show the bitmap if you select show in viewport, you have to go into the bitmap slot and have it visible in view port from there. Does that make sense?
maymarbinaziz
yes indeed it works , thank you cgi artist Maymar Bin Aziz Pakistan.
nickdk
I can't make it work :S The bitmap is deeper within the material, since I'm using the Vraycomptex/vray dirt maps to create a material with a grunge layer on top. I haven't had any success with activating the bitmaps.
