Looks interesting, but it'd take a lot of time (and I have to admit that I would be a little concerned with the subjectivity of what is 'inspirational architecture', as an architect, I would look towards things others may not, or not even know of). Still, looks cool. I love the 'mood/stylized' competitions, areas I know I need to work on!

IC,

Thanks for plugging the contest, it is starting to get some real theoretical discussion going amongst the three contestants so far, the contest started last Thursday, we are hoping we get some great entries and help make future architectural contest possible.

MBR,

A lot of the theoretical conversation going on touches on how to make something appear to be an "Architectural Wonder" even if the style isn't historical and playing on the viewers preconcieved conception.

I won't say much more here, but you should look at the Prize and Judges Pages that are linked on the Contest Page linked in the first post. I think you will find that the judging should be excellent and that no layman will be picking just a "pertty picture". I think the judges are extremely qualified.

Thanks again for mentioning the contest, Jeff was nice enough to post a front page news feature when the contest started at the end of last week.

Best regards,

Russell Thomas

Ernest, thanks for letting me know you are getting errors when visiting the site, I have heard nothing about this and of course it is working fine for me.

Please let me know if you run into further problems accessing the site, so that I may work on alleviating the problem, thanks again for the response and letting me know you are having problems. Would love to see more comments to spur on the contestants, entries are at the conceptual stage at this point, but some great theoretical discussions so far.

Thanks for the update and clarifying the problems you encountered, a guy should probably hire an expert website designer, I seem to stumble along in the process and I won't even get stared with modding the forum! LOL

Thanks for the compliment on the site, my hope is to expose a broad audience to hopefully great architecture and in a small part perhaps instill a bit of 'design sense' to the community (non-architectural, layman sometimes lack the exposure and hence we see what gets built, everyday). Of course the site doesn't reach the masses such as a site as great as CG Architect, Jeff is really doing a great job here!

Anyway, thanks for checking the site out and informing me of the problems you incurred, I am sure the entrants would enjoy your thoughts on the concepts and theories so far. Oh, and I wanted to commend you on the quality of participation you provide here! ;)

All right, that helped.

I had found one 'gallery' page listed that was empty (your site, no content) and SOMEWHERE else got a 404, but I could not duplicate it now.

Your site is coming along nicely...

Ernest,

Continue to get interesting entrants with interesting concepts, I am sure they would love to hear your input! ;) As well as other members of this community. Hope you are staying busy.

Tuesday, October 5th at Midnight GMT is the final deadline for entering the 'Architectural Wonder Contest', you have a month, until November 5th at Midnight GMT, to complete your entry. Just thought I would remind everyone in case they were interested in entering ;)
