JamesTaylor
hi, i'm trying to render an animation but after each frame i get an 'Image I/O Error' message appears. In the massage it states the path which i'm trying to save to and says memory error. I'm given the option of retrying or cancelling. Retry does nothing but if i cancel the application stays open and i can then manually save the frame to the hard drive? Obvisiously this is not ideal when each frame is taking approx 10min to render and there are 650 to do. i've tried searching in google for the error message but can't find any direct matches. I hope somebody will be able to help as i'm about to start crying!! Thanks in anticipation. James
kippu
did you try to save it in some other part of the hard drive ?
Jason Matthews
I have seen the message before, but I can't remember why it shows up. Try changing your settings in the file you are saving. If you are trying to save to .mov, try .avi. If you are trying to save as mpeg4 try to save as mpeg2. Good luck.
blaz
i got this msg before, and i change the save path to other drive and make sure your slave running in the same max version, cause last time i used my collaque machine which run in r5 and iam using r6, so the backburner conflict, after i upgrade the software, no more problem appears. hope it helps

Jennifer
You are saving to single frames, and not using backburner, correct? You are saving this to the exact same location, in the exact same format, and it works manually but not automatically? Strange, indeed. Have you solved your problem yet? Checking foler write-permissions, or trying a different folder or drive, or trying to write to a different image format are good places to start.
