john2000
Hello, I have been reading 3D warehouse's terms of service. It is not exactly clear to me whether it is ok to use this resource for commercial use (and outside of Sketchup/Google Earth) Does anyone understand their terms of use? Cheers
Speaker
Looking at paragraph 11.1 you can see it states: "© By publicly posting or displaying the content you give other end users of the Services a perpetual, sublicensable, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free, and non-exclusive license to reproduce, adapt, modify, translate, publish, publicly perform, publicly display and distribute (subject to the restrictions set forth in Sections 11.4 and 20.3 of these Terms) any Content or derivative works thereof which you publicly post or display on or through the Services." So basically, if a model has been uploaded for public use, you can use it as you like. Thats why you can see that some good models are exploded and made pretty much unmodifiable before uploadind to the 3d warehouse :/
