Description:

I found this building in a book named "Mexican Design" and wanted to give it a try.

i tried to find as much reference as i could, using Google Earth to approximatively find the right mesurement and using Street View to take a look around.

All is done with poly modeling, grass is for now an autograss plane.

Trees are XFrog modified and textured for VRay with 2sides Material.

For the BG i used a pictures on a simple plane using VRayLight Material, because using a VRayLight Dome with HDRI was overriding my environement picture.

There is still much to do but that's one of my first complete project based on a photo.

Here are some modifications i did then:

- Material on the "black cube"

- Tinted glass

- Pavement modified (still some things to do like adjsutement and adding details)

- I modified the side of the building, like an underground garage (not visible here)

- Cars... from Evermotion, as i had them and wanted to use them at least one :p

Every Comment will be welcome as i'm a beginner.

Thanks

Thanks a lot for your advice (both of you).

I worked on the building but i'm not good enough to re-create the real background for now, i still have to learn that's a fact.

I'll work more on the background so, not the real one as i explained before, but trying to make it more "correct". As well as the foliage... i'm a beginner in "Vegetation & grass", as i said i started with Xfrog tree, modified then, but i'll have to take a better look on it, maybe going to try GrowFX to have a better control over the creation.

Btw, here is a "Sunset/Night" version of it, there i can clearly see the BG problem :/

Dear Anthony,

It is a very good start.

AS sayed in other post, the BG (in the day light image) need to be changed, take another BG image because the one you are using has a different exposure compared to your scene and the palm on the right, behind the building, looks too big.

I would have a look to the glass material as well.

Keep us updated.
