r3nder
:)OK What would you choose? I am trying both to create rugs of a very high quality and realism for close up renders, the vray option initially looks to have less settings and control but combined with vrayfurstyler modifier it seems to be getting there. The max hair fur WSM modifier seems to have more settings and more control, styling seems a lot easier etc I havent actually mastered creating a nice carpet with any of the two techniques I mention but close. Just wondered what others thought and preferred to use please? I'll post my render up when its good enough lol
Dave Buckley
I'd use bertrands method of scattering a few strands, much the same way as we tend to do grass these days. Check out Bertrand benoit's website for more info
