how can I create custom windows and doors and railing, and furniture items to be used with ADT?

I have a few max models that i wish were ADT objects.

Do I just have to model the item I want and look for some sort of option to add all the parameters? please gide to the correct lit.

If it's objects-fixed dimensions, sign or light posts for example=multi-view blocks.

If you want Styles (windows for example) that are paremeter driven, you need to create them from AEC Profiles............

If it's like door handles and muttins these can be set up in the Display Properties (old entity display) for and object or style.

I just upgraded from 3.0 and these are a few of the features I checked to how they have changed, because I use them quite a bit.

It's all in the help files.

Hi Cesar

In ADT, most of the modeling is undertaken with the various AEC objects supplied in the software. To make custom forms, profiles are used a lot in the form of sweeps, e.g., a colonial door jamb would be made with a rectangular form first, and then, in the style definition, substituted with the appropriate sweep. As far a bringing in Max items, as I understand it, they can be exported out as dwg and then imported into the ADT models as blocks. These blocks are added to multi-block objects which then control the display representation of the object (i.e. in plan see the footprint, in 3d, see the whole model). These objects are static. I have seen parametric furniture made with the wall object and the curtain wall object but it is quite complex to make. Trust this helps.

Cheers
