john2000
Hello, I have a problem- As you can see in my images attached, I have lit my scene with vray lights. When I render, the glass looks totally reflect and I can't see through it. I have rebuilt my scene twice. When I start adding lights it is as if vray turns them off - really odd I think. Could someone give some idea as to what might be happening with my setup. I have checked my glass material and re-applied it several times. The material is only has a small amount of reflection on it. Thanks
notamondayfan
What happens if you hide the glass objects are render the image?
john2000
I took the glass off and the lights glow through. The glass is part of a multi-sub material, I put all of my house materials into this single multi-sub. Does this type of material ever create problems with lots of materials embedded in it? Maybe I should start with a new vraymaterial and build the glass material again. What would you do? Thanks for getting back to me:D
notamondayfan
is the glass attached to the wall? if so, make the glass separate object from a box, not a plane, as glass need thickness. also, can you post your glass material settings?
