RyanSpaulding
What technique do you do? I'm kinda stuck on which technique for realistic ones...
3dway
I take the site plan in AutoCAD, edit the curb lines into plines with a gap at the end and extrude a section of a curb along the pline. I change the number of isoplancs for curbs far away from the camera to save on polys.
Allen
You did not mention the software you're using... In Lightwave I make a polygon with the outside edge being the inside of the curb. I do this using points received from AutoCAD (DXF lines into LW). I then use a series of bevels to get the shape of the curb correct. (I work at a Civil Engineering firm so I'm used to drawing curb cross-sections) This works well for flat sites - for sites with a lot of relief - extruding along a path works well. Have also used Easy Site to model these in AutoCAD - very useful tool.

Tbonz
Ryan, how about making a (curb) profile with the line tool, and using a spline to loft your profile along? You could do curves or whatever necessary this way. Todd
