cmuscata
Hey guys, dunno if anyone else has encountered this problem. I am trying to double the length of a rendered scene in after effects via frame blending. The base render extends fine with no flicker or noticeable artifacts but when i try to superimpose exr layers they are not frame blending. As a test i then tried working with just the exr layer - timestretching it with frameblend on and sure enough it does not frame blend. I cannot understand why this is happening...any suggestions? I tried precomposing it but no luck. I could render out the passes as tifs and then it wouldn´t be a prob but I have several scenes and i do not want to export every pass of every scene as a seperate file, it would become too unmanageable. The only solution i have is to composite the whole thing at normal speed and export and then timestretch that with frame blending, but again this is quite a nuisance as if i have to change any pass i have to go through a 2-step procedure again every time. Am i missing somehting here? Please any help really appreciated, i´m on a sick deadline which is why i´m only rendering half the frame sin the first place hehe. thanks guys
Fooch
Try precomping it. Then frame blend the precomp.
Crazy Homeless Guy
If the PreComp doesn't work I occasionally have to render out the sequence, and then create a second file that is strictly to blend the composited frames.
