michaelidesm
Hi all. I am pretty sure people have done this before but i don't know how to smooth out a terrain shape which I created in archiecture (autodesk) and then imported into max. Is there something specific that needs to be done in architecture prior to importing it into max? Then what is the procedure to smooth it in max. I tried by converting it to mesh and then apply smooth modifier with no result, same with Turbo smooth modifier. Any ideas very welcome. PS if you want me i can attach both the dwg file and the max file with the imported shape.
TSuess
There are better tools for modeling a drape in Max itself. Why do you not want to model it in MAx?

Simply because i am not good at modelling in Max. But if you know how its done in Max and you can at least point me in that direction i would be very grateful to you. many thanks for your response.
