Hi

Taking and bit of an R&D day today and decided to have a look at Containers, I'm currently using X-Refs to manage complex scenes and wondering if many people have made the switch and what the benefits are?

I have tried containers in place of Xref's a few times only to be disappointed. I was working with large models that would normally be XRef'd so that both multiple people could work on the project, and in an effort to keep memory use under control.

What I found that opening or saving a container would often take a long time. Maybe 30+ minutes, or sometimes not at all.

I like the idea of what AutoDesk was trying to do, but in the end I didn't find it as efficient as Xref's in actual production use. Other will probably tell you they are the bees knees, but I can only speak form my experience when I tried to use them in a production environment.
