Machine in $1000

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I have searched the forum for three hours. learned many things about many hardware.

But finally could not reach in a decision.

I am a 3D artist doing architectural renders and animation, product visualization.

So I need to use Vray RT as well as IRay.

My question will I be able to buy a corei7 latest processor within $1000 or something like that? If so please then do me a favor by letting me know the parts I need to buy.

I guess. processor, motherboard, RAM, HDD, power supply, video card, dvd ROM, casing

will make my PC. My concern is which brand for each parts will be the best combination.

please guys help me out.

Thanks in advance

What? two i7 in $1000?

Are you serious? may be you bought only processor and motherboard. no?

it depends, in the US and Canada you can, in India I don't know depends on customs and pricing there. in fact I just bought two i7 machines for a little over $1000 inlcunding 13% taxes.

I wanted to buy an i7. But the link you provided goes to a i5 processor. :(

Is there any strategic reason.?

Thanks for your reply mate.!

Well, we've stopped updating the 3DATSTech site, but since then the price of the Budget system has fallen below $1000, and I figure it's about the best one can do for that kind of money. See here.

Yup, that's the story. The i5 and i7 aren't really that different, they just fall along a sliding scale of performance and price. You can sub in an i7-2600 and just get a machine that costs a bit more and is a bit faster. This particular set of parts was chosen to hit a point on the price/performance scale that's basically "the cheapest machine I'd feel comfortable using for full time graphics work".
