neyes_ice
Good afternoon guys. I would like to ask your help regarding my images. 1st image is the base. The 2nd image is the one i would like to achieve, to be able to compose them like the 3rd image. I know how to use the render mask script for individual objects but i don't know how to retain the shadows and reflection like the 2nd image. I am using this style of rendering because if my clients want to ad or remove something from the scene, it would be easy enough so that i wouldn't have to render the whole scene. btw I am using 3d max 2012 and vray 2.0 for my images. thank you and i hope i am in the right thread. branskyj
Definitely use matte shadow material. Follow this http://www.onoff.ch/2007/01/12/shadow-matte-with-v-ray/ Apply the matte shadow material to the floor and render. This way you get your chairs + the shadows. Only problem is- I don't think matte shadow material will preserve the reflections. Someone correct me if I am wrong. Good luck.
