Dusan
Does anyone have a solution to problem with net framework when instaling max 2012? I've tried looking on forums but nobody seems to have the answer.
datacrasher
are you using any other 3ds max software or this is the first one your installing? are you using windows xp, visa, windows etc. Have you updated windows! If you go to the updates and patches on the autodesk website then you will see a new patch for the sevice pack and a hotfix (http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet/ps/dl/index?id=2334435&linkID=9241178&siteID=123112#section1 forum assistants don't delete)
Dusan
I have max 2010 and windows7. When instalation start I automatically get notification that net framework is not updated. I try updating it but I still get the same notification and after update max2010 won't work. Also updating windows doesn't help. datacrasher
if you followed my very last reply about the error then it should work, if not then i'll guess you have to contact your max sale and tech support dept where you brought your max because autodesk does not support products only the store you brought it from Good luck Tony

datacrasher
You could always put this on the autodesk site and see what they say Good luck Tony
theqball
Try downloading an installing directly from MS. http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?id=17851 Sometimes this works better.
Dusan
Shane I tried installing directly from ms but didn't work. I'll try posting on autodesk website.
theqball
call support. reporting it to the autodesk website will either bounce it to my inbox or somewhere with limited visibility. other things to try are to uninstall all the .net frameworks on you machine and install the latest one from MS. this installer is better at catching the conflicts with older .net installs than the compressed one we ship with. You basically have a install conflict somewhere.
