Render Farm for Sale

I have a 4-Node-(32 Core)-RENDER FARM for sale. I had an animation studio that I am closing and I would like to sell our farm.

These are amazingly fast reliable units. It used to take over an hour to render each frame of our animations but if you use Mental Ray with Combustion they are lightning fast at about 8 to 10 minutes per frame. A super high rez single frame renders in about 15 minutes. We would set up a scene at the end of the day and it would be ready to preview by morning- AWESOME!!! It really made or deadlines less stressful.

 

These were custom built to higher specs than BOXX's-2XQuadCore-RenderBOXX:

Also included is a LinksKey 8-Port KVM Switch and cables- This allows you to switch and monitor the progress on all four nodes from a single Monitor.

 

These are wonderful units and cost about 14kwhen new.

Would you consider selling that to overseas client? We are in South Africa? Also would the system be able to get configured for vray and studo max?

I am really sorry to hear that you are closing, may I ask if the cause is too little business or a move to a more important position? I am thinking of starting up my own animation studio in Canada and I am worried about the economy being still in the toiled so to speak.

The farm has Max Pro 2009 already installed

 

We are also running Windows XP Pro 64 and will run VRAY very well

 

Shipping to South Africa is no problem. They would be insured for full value to insure they arrive in good order.

Yes the economy has been a real problem. There are not as many projects that need animations at this time. We will still be doing stills because they do not require as many resources.
