Devin Johnston Posted July 28, 2011 Share Posted July 28, 2011 I have a situation where I have a curtain wall and the glass on part of it has a frit pattern of horizontal lines and I'm using a UVW map to control the spacing of the maps. I also need to put a sky map on the glass but it needs a different UVW map, is there a way to set this up so that the UVW controls certain channels in a material instead of the entire material? Victor Erthal Posted July 28, 2011 Share Posted July 28, 2011 the uvw map modifier in max has, by default, a channel of 1. all you need to do is apply a second uvw modifier and assign a channel of 2 (or any other number you need) and make sure that the map is set to use explicit texture coordinates on that same channel.
